Weinberg (1891-1969), called "Mr. Wall Street" by the New York Times and "the Directors- Director" by Fortune, was the father of corporate governance. Weinberg rose from a 3-dollar-a-week doorman to CEO of Goldman Sachs for 39 years, until his death. At one time, Weinberg sat on the board of 31 companies, including Ford Motor and General Electric.
