Jalsovszky law firm has won a tax lawsuit in front of the Hungarian Supreme Court against the tax authority in a case that may affect hundreds of taxpayers. In contrast to the official and widely publicized opinion of the tax authority and the Ministry of National Economy, the Supreme Court clearly declared in the lawsuit that the taxpayer is allowed to deduct the amount of the local business tax from the corporate income tax base even if it has a liability against the tax authorities in respect of one of the taxes.read more »
